John Lennon Airport.
private aviation firm Jetfly www.jetfly.com is working with NHS Heroes by donating 200 hours of flight time to help transport urgent supplies today- VERY relevant as PPE was one of Boris’s five key points outlined in his announcement this week.

This is the FIRST UK flight mission for Jetfly flying supplies so we’d be delighted for you to have the story and images/footage?

Here is the story synopsis below and I have attached the original release as background to the offer of help they put out a few weeks ago, and now it’s being taken up;

It has just been confirmed that private aviation firm Jetfly will fly today from Biggin Hill at 11.30/12 to go to Liverpool John Lennon for the charity NHS Hero Support; https://uk.gofundme.com/f/nhs-heroes-support They will deliver PPE up to the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan (400kgs worth of visors).

Jetfly’s UK Director Jonathan Clough has a father and brother who are doctors in London and his father has returned to the coalface to help those in need despite being semi-retired and 70, so the virus feels particularly close to home. He feels passionately about helping to tackle and beat this invisible killer and getting the necessary aid and equipment to those most in need.Pic Shows the face masks being unloaded after arriving from Germany

Paul Gornell and the ground crew team of Wynne Aviation at Liverpool, in protective clothing unloaded the boxes containing masks and other PPE equipment.

Demand for the crucial equipment is so acute that one NHS hospital boss begged British fashion chains such as Burberry and Barbour to help with the shortage.

Paul said “We are pleased to play our part by bringing in crucial medical supplies and PPE in to the UK. Everybody is so incredibly grateful for all the work our health care professionals are doing during this challenging time”

After re netting the plane took off to collect another critical load.
